Troubleshooting FAQs
My USBCELL does not seem to get a full charge from a laptop USB port
The USBCELL will work in most laptops. However, some laptops may reduce the power supplied to the USB to conserve power and battery life. If they restrict the power too much the USBCELL will not get enough power to charge fully and might only be partly charged at the end of a charge cycle. Try charging with the laptop power plugged in or changing the laptop power management settings. Most laptops also disconnect power to USB sockets when in sleep mode, or with the lid closed. This will interrupt the charging cycle and the USBCELL will start again when power is restored. Many users prefer shorter top-up charges. This provides immediate power; however, it will gradually reduce the overall battery life if done continuously.
My USBCELL does not fit in my USB socket
USBCELL will work in most USB sockets, however for close mounted USB sockets (arranged vertically), it may overlap and occupy two USB slots. Occasionally the shape and configuration of a USB port means that the USB socket is recessed, so USBCELL can’t fit into place without a USB extender. If it doesn’t fit easily, don’t force it! - use a different port. Similarly if you have a damaged or very tight/stiff USB socket don’t try to force USBCELL in, as this may damage USBCELL.
My USBCELL does not fit into some of my battery-powered devices
The USBCELL is built within international and European battery standards and should work with devices built to those standards. Don’t attempt to force the USBCELL into a device if it won’t go in easily, e.g. in some tight barrel devices. For a list of known compatibility issues, see the
User Guide.
